Scarborough Walk of Fame 2024 Nominations

In the spring of 2024, the Scarborough Walk of Fame will induct new Stars into the Walk of Fame. Be a part of it and please nominate! Submit your nominations using the form below.

Scarborough Walk of Fame Star

This award recognizes a person who has achieved a high degree of excellence in their field of endeavour and served as a role model for future leaders.

Each inductee is recognized for their success in one of the following categories - Arts and Culture, Business, Community, Education, Entertainment, Health and Science, Environment, or Sports.

Each candidate must:
  • have been born in or have spent formative years in Scarborough
  • have achieved a high degree of excellence in his/her field of endeavour
  • serve as a role model for future leaders
  • agree to accept the nomination and be present at the induction event as required

Note: sitting politicians are not eligible for nomination and only successful candidates will be contacted.

Rising Star Award

This award recognizes a young person who is 16 to 25 years of age and has demonstrated leadership and significant community engagement.

Each candidate must:
  • be 16-25 years of age
  • have been born in or have significant roots in Scarborough
  • have demonstrated leadership and significant community engagement
  • agree to accept the nomination and be present at the induction event Only successful candidates will be contacted.
Preparing for Your Nomination
  1. Think of an eligible candidate and tell us why they deserve to be inducted into the Scarborough Walk of Fame.

  2. Prepare examples of how they have demonstrated outstanding qualities.

  3. Gather your nominee’s contact information or name and phone number of someone who can give us their contact info.

  4. Gather the names and contact information of references familiar with your nominee’s accomplishments.
